50 years at Aspiring Lodge!
Next year marks a very special milestone, with the OBHS Aspiring Lodge celebrating its 50th anniversary.
For five decades, the Lodge has been the setting for countless memories, friendships, adventures and stories. It has been a place where boys have challenged themselves, enjoyed the outdoors, built lasting friendships and created memories that stay with them long after their school days are over.
We think that's something worth celebrating!
We are beginning preparations for a special 50th Anniversary gathering at Wānaka over Labour Weekend 2027 and would love to hear from Old Boys and friends who might be interested in being part of it.
BE PART OF THE CELEBRATIONS
If you would like to join us in Wānaka, please take a moment to complete the expression of interest form below. This will help us gauge numbers and plan accordingly. There is no commitment at this stage – we simply want to know who might be keen to come along. A number of people have expressed that this will be a great excuse to organise a reunion with their OBs mates!

RAISE A GLASS TO 50 YEARS!
To help support ongoing Lodge maintenance and improvement projects, we've also teamed up with Wanaka's Ground Up Brewing to release a special Aspiring Lodge 50th Anniversary beer.
The New England Hazy IPA comes in 440ml cans (5% ABV) and is available for $10 per can. It's a great way to celebrate the milestone while helping ensure the Lodge continues to be enjoyed by generations to come.
Order your Lodge 50th Anniversary beer here
A note for our Dunedin supporters: You can save on postage by selecting "I wish to pickup" when placing your order. Simply email Richard Roe at richard.roe@obhs.school.nz with your name, order details and contact number. He'll be in touch when your beer arrives at school and is ready for collection.
Fifty years is a significant milestone, and we'd love to see as many of our Lodge alumni and supporters as possible involved in marking the occasion.
Whether it's joining us in Wānaka, ordering a few cans of anniversary beer, or simply sharing your favourite Lodge memories, we hope you'll be part of it.
Here's to 50 years of memories – and many more to come!
