Happy 100th Birthday Arch Jelley!
Best wishes to Arch Jelley (OBHS 1936-1940) who celebrated his 100th birthday on Saturday 13 August. Arch is best known for his athletics coaching career which included the coaching of John Walker, Dick Quax, Rod Dixon and many other athletes. Arch was awarded an OBE in 1982 for his services to athletics and was appointed a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the 2021 New Years Honours for his work as a coach and administrator in athletics and bridge.
