In recent weeks, we have been thrilled to see a number of new members join up to our Foundation.

Each week, we’ll introduce a member/s and share their connection to the school.

 Anna and Greg Sinnott

 What’s your connection to OBHS?

"Our eldest son, Ben, started as a boarder in Year 10, and we moved to Dunedin two years later. Our middle son, Tim, finished high school at OBHS, and now Matt is in Year 10. Ben and Matt have played football for the school, and Tim has played rugby and rowed. Greg has managed Tim’s rugby team, I’ve been on the school football committee for a few years, and our business, Sentinel Homes is proud sponsors of the football club."

What inspired you to join the Foundation?

"It’s great to see a support mechanism set up for OBHS – a public school that has to work harder to fund all the extra opportunities we want for our boys. It’s also nice to be part of something that will carry on beyond our direct involvement with the school."

Why does your loyalty to OBHS run deep?

"We value the character of OBHS – its traditions, respect for history, and the diversity of its community. There’s a strong focus on academic achievement alongside real encouragement for boys to get involved in sport or cultural activities. One of OBHS’s standout features is the commitment of its staff – not just in the classroom, but across all the clubs and activities. At the end of the day, we feel OBHS fosters well-rounded boys, ready for life after school."

Thank you Anna for this great feedback!
